Independence Workshop

The Independence Workshop is a creative space for individuals experiencing homelessness to learn a new skill, make supplemental income, and get back on their feet.

See Opportunity

Clarke, a navy veteran who knows what it means to be homeless, came up with the idea of a communal effort to tackle homelessness in Fayetteville by through an entrepreneurial woodworking program in 2016.

Take Action

In 2017, Clarke teamed up with Enactus students at the Sam M. Walton College of Business to make his dream a reality. Students conducted market research, designed a business plan, established community partners, and managed the sales of Clarke’s wood products.

Enable Progress

Today, the Independence Workshop continues to provide Clarke with stable employment and a platform to empower others. UA Enactus is committed to the success of the Independence Workshop in Fayetteville and will be unveiling Clarke’s website in Feburary 2018!
